Located on the Bay of Quinte, it is home to Noella Noel, an abstract painter who describes her oil and acrylic paintings as “the layering of paint, collage, words and moments in time.” <?xml:namespace prefix ="" o />

This charming art gallery of Prince Edward County was built on the original site of a studio known as the Cameron Gallery. The dilapidated condition of the original dwelling paired with the vision of a more contemporary building with high ceilings and lots of light to spur the construction of the current gallery. The studio continues to evolve and it will eventually include sculpture and pottery.

The Bayhaus is where Noel works on site, turning her creative inspirations into distinctive art that embodies her interest in colour, composition and expressive mark making. The gallery also features the work of other local artists, handmade jewelry and designs by Inaka. It is part of a larger artists’ network known as the studiosonthebay group of artists, formed recently to bring attention to the several art studios found on County Road3. 8 different artists practice their craft with open doors, welcoming visitors to their studios along Rednersville road.

Paint is repeatedly applied, scraped away and reapplied until images arise from an ongoing interaction with the work in progress. The result is artwork that is abstract with bold, bright tones and visible expressiveness.

All sizes are available as stretchers and are custom made in the studio.” Custom framing of the completed work is also available. In addition, exterior artwork is a new feature in the gallery and is also available in any size. Noella’s work can be seen in private collections in Hamilton, Dundas, Belleville and Toronto, and in the Sidestreet Gallery in Wellington.
